GLORIOUS MONACO

We all live under the same sky, but we don’t all have the same horizon

Monaco hits totally different.  Located on the French Riviera in Western Europe, it is one of those destinations that took me by surprise! A pleasant one at that.

Old Town & Prince Palace – Boris Stroujko

Monaco was impressive from the moment we arrived.  This is is the wealthy tourists playground. We took a short flight from Paris to Nice. I initially thought our hotel was located in Niece only to realize we were heading to Monaco which is a different territory/country! Uber is restricted in Monaco but works in Nice for the ride activation.  Our driver gave us his information to contact him for the ride back to the airport which was helpful.

We arrived a few a days after the Monaco Grand Prix, a Formula One race held annually on the Circuit De Monaco and attracts fans from all over the world.

SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT MONACO:

1️⃣ Monaco is home to about 38,000 people. One in three are millionaires or billionaires. The highest per capita in the world.

2️⃣ Monaco is known for it’s lifestyle of unapologetic opulence, high-end casinos, fast cars and harbors lined with beautiful yachts. Cost of living is high AF! My smart travel tips kicked into high gear. Thanks to Marriott Bonvoy reward certificates that I was able to redeem for my accommodation at the Riviera Marriott Hotel La Porte De Monaco.  This small town girl got a taste of the Diddy-esque lifestyle💁🏽‍♀️ Take that! Take that! *Harlem shake*

Monaco Village – Tomsickora Tatyana

3️⃣ Monaco is the second smallest country on the planet. We covered the width of the country in an hour!

4️⃣ Monaco has pleasant weather all year round with 300 days of sunshine per year! A country after my own heart.  Sun kissed Mediterranean coast.

At Cap d’Ail – can’t swim? No problem!

5️⃣ Monaco’s flag is the same as Indonesia. The only difference is that the Indonesian flag is wider🇲🇨.

6️⃣ Monaco is Europe’s tax haven. Citizens enjoy a tax-free lifestyle. The country’s main source of income is tourism.

7️⃣ There are no airports in Monaco. You can take the train, helicopter or yacht into Monaco. No private jets. We flew into Cote d’Azur Airport in Nice & took a 30 minute Uber ride to Monaco’s capital for €95 = $106

I would highly recommend this destination for luxury solo travel, girls trip, couples trip and family trip. There are casinos to explore, museums to check out and plenty of sight seeing opportunities.

Is Monaco on your bucket list?🇲🇨❤️
